Download Link Generator

This tool generates a direct download link for box files. The generated URL downloads the file immediately without having to click a confirmation "download" button.

Instructions

  • Click Share and turn on create shared link

  • Make sure permissions are set to "People with the link can view & download"
    • 3
  • Double-click the file (unless you are already viewing the file)
    • 4
  • Copy the URL in your address bar. It should look like this:
    https://app.box.com/file/1006031450855?s=ljxbwk0jmwvnw9qzi1wx6g4ancs73qqh
